Gerard Farrés
Our warrior behind the wheel. Gerard Farrés. Farreti. An excellent pilot, but even more: a great person. Positive, outgoing, kind, familiar, passionate…
Born in Manresa in 1979, he started racing bicycles and motorcycles at a young age. His first victories came in enduro, where he became junior champion in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
In 2006 he debuted in the Dakar, finishing 16th and being the second best rookie. That, taking into account that 2 months earlier he had broken his meniscus, left lateral ligament, anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament. But the one from then on known as the Desert Wild Boar started the 2006 Rally with his KTM and leaving everyone speechless.
In subsequent participations in the Dakar, he finished 3rd in motorcycles in 2017 and 2nd in 2019 and 2022 in the SSV category.
In the 2024 Dakar he suffered a spectacular accident in the fifth stage when he was leading the race in SSV with his Can-Am, thus saying goodbye to his chances of victory. Although, together with Diego Ortega, they managed to finish the Dakar.

Diego Ortega
Our spectacular co-pilot is key to set up this team of warriors. Outdoors lover, familiar, a fighter, serene, intelligent… Diego is vital to reach the goal.
Born in Melilla in 1982, his dream was to participate in the Dakar on a quad, but seeing that he might not be able to do it, he decided to accept being a co-pilot. And what a great decision for everyone! He has become one of the most reliable co-pilots and, together with Gerard Farrés, they are a successful team.
In 2022 they were about to win, finishing in 2nd position at the end. And, in 2024, going in first position in SSV with their Can-Am, they suffered an accident that took away all his chances of victory. Although all the pains from the accident, he was able to finish the Dakar together with Gerard Farrés.
Diego does not give up and will continue fighting for his Dakar dreams.
Toni Vingut
In the 2025 Dakar we have a new co-pilot in the Farreti Team: Toni Vingut. Born in Ibiza, he is a motorsport and water sports lover. He is a friendly person, always willing to help.
He is an excellent quad pilot, proving it in all his participations in the Dakar from 2020 to 2024. In 2024 he suffered a spectacular accident in the 5th stage and had to retire with several ribs, an arm and the tailbone fractured. However, he recovered incredibly and was able to participate again in the toughest rally.
2025 was the first year in which quads could not participate in the Dakar, so he reinvented himself and became a co-pilot. His first participation as a co-pilot has been a success, finishing in sixth place alongside our pilot Gerard Farrés.
