What is a pressed flange?

The flange is the element that joins two components of a piping system, allowing it to be disassembled without destructive operations, thanks to a circumference of holes through which connecting bolts are mounted.

The Fittexport pressed flange is the improvement in design, functionality and, above all, in price of the Back-Up solid flange. It is the same product and offers the same technical features, but with a lower weight and price.

Why is the pressed flange better?

A pressed flange is 61% lighter than a solid flange. This represents a notable reduction in price, that is, the pressed flange is cheaper. Furthermore, due to its reduced weight, the pressed flange is easier to install than the solid flange.

Thanks to the morphology of the pressed flange, the tightness of the fluid within the system is increased. This is because the pressed flange has a flange on the inside diameter that is in contact with the collar. The pressed flange exerts greater pressure on the collar than a solid flange.

In summary, the pressed flange has the same behavior as a solid flange, but with more features.
