Finish types
At Fittexport we choose two types of finish: blasting or pickling. Depending on the piece or the client’s needs, we choose one option or another.
Blasting is a technique for treating the surface of stainless steel to create a textured or matte finish. It is achieved by projecting glass beads or other materials at a very high speed.
Pickling is a chemical treatment that, acting on the surface of stainless steel, eliminates all impurities. It is, for example, one of the most used processes to eliminate temperature discoloration stains produced by welding.
